“I had trained for the actual event in Ohio and was ready to go.  Unfortunately, about a week before the race, the organizers learned that the local Parks Service would not issue a permit for the race.  The virtual race was a great alternative and I was glad to compete again.  I am hopeful next year I will resume competing at various locations around the country.  As always I thank everyone for their support and prayers.”
