Dr Maroon Named Humanitarian of the Year By Jerome Bettis Caring For Kids Foundation

Bettis EventOn September 27, 2018, Dr Joseph Maroon will be awarded the Humanitarian of the Year Award by the Jerome Bettis Caring for Kids Foundation for his work to numerous charitable events in local Pittsburgh communities and organizations. This annual event will be hosted by former Steelers and Hall of Fame running back Jerome Bettis at Heinz Field.  Along with Dr Maroon, Pittsburgh Steeler Ryan Shazier will be honored as Man of the Year.

Dr Maroon has participated in numerous charity events and fundraisers over the last 30 years.  These include last year’s Saints and Sinners dinner where funds were raised to benefit the Chuck Noll Foundation for Brain Injury Research.

It is a great honor for me to be recognized, related Dr. Maroon, I have a great relationship with the Steelers family for over 30 years and both Jerome and Ryan are great examples of both quality and caring players.  I encourage every Steelers fan to join me for a great evening of storytelling and learning more about Caring for Kids organization.
