Dr Joseph Maroon TV Interview features The Pittsburgh Steelers Fashion Show Supporting the Head Injury Research

The CBS news show, Intersections, is a weekly community affairs program hosted and produced by Lisa Smith.  Kyia Tomlin (Coach Tomlin’s wife) and Brain Injury Expert Dr. Joseph Maroon, were recently interviewed by Ms. Smith about the upcoming  Steelers fashion show, also known as “Steelers Style“, that is scheduled for October 10, at 6 pm at Stage AE in Pittsburgh.

The annual event includes the players and their families walking the runway for an evening of football, fashion, and fun. This year the  fundraising event will benefit Steelers Charities, a 5013C that supports UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program, Cancer Bridges, and the Chuck Noll Foundation.

Dr. Maroon discussed the importance of the Chuck Noll Foundation that was founded specifically to advance awareness and research of sport head and neck injuries through research grants. The Chuck Noll Foundation for Brain Injury Research is proud to honor the memory of a true innovator for his lasting contribution to player safety by naming our organization after him.

The Intersections Show, which highlights how people come together to come up with solutions and positive outcomes to issues of concern in Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania, will air October 5 at 11:30 AM on KDKA and also available on KDKA streaming and also October 6 on CBS News Pittsburgh at 11 AM
