Lower Your Blood Pressure Naturally

Blood Pressure heartThirty-one percent of Americans are hypertensive, 30% are prehypertensive, and approximately 20% are hypertensive yet unaware of their status according to a recent study published in the March 6, 2014  American Journal of Hypertension.  In addition the authors note that only 47% of those with hypertension are adequately controlled. The study they report on is a meta-analysis of 70 studies that had investigated the effects of omega-3 fatty acids and blood pressure control.  What they found is truly news worthy.

The strongest effects of EPA+DHA fish oil were found in
untreated hypertensive subjects  reducing systolic blood pressure on average 4.5 points and  diastolic blood pressure about 3 points.
