Dr Maroon along with a number of the top senior athletes in the country were recently interviewed by Health Radar Newsletter. The article entitled, “Lessons From Senior Athletes: Age-Defying Fitness Secrets”, asks each what are their “secrets to remaining competitive”.

Maroon devotes at least an hour daily to aerobic activity — jogging, biking, swimming, and using resistance bands for strength training. He follows a Mediterranean diet emphasizing healthy fats and lower carbohydrates and protein, while consuming specific vitamins and minerals to fuel his body, especially when training for competitions.
